Pariwartan is a voluntary organization endeavoring towards the equitable and sustainable development of the mountainous regions of India. The organization believes in a community-centric approach to maximize the actions for an eco-friendly and equitable development of the Himalayan areas. “Pariwartan” is a Hindi word which means- Transformation, and it expresses the organization’s quest of bringing a positive transformation in the mindsets of the people for making this world a better place for all. Established at Shimla in the year 2005, the organization has undertaken several environmental and developmental activities and has sincerely followed the indicators of sustainable development in its interventions. Having hands-on experience over some innovative initiatives in the area, the organization is committed to devote its efforts for the protection of environment and the empowerment of marginalized groups.
